Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Thank you for taking the time to visit. I’ve taken the last 2 months off because things have been hectic, but I’m back today to share a snippet from my contemporary romance Two-Timing the Boss that is releasing August 24th with The Wild Rose Press.
I love reading comments, so please let me know what you think of my six.
A quick set up: P.A. Farah Smith is on her way to interview with Keller Donovan, owner of lucrative construction company. She’s willing to do whatever it takes—even if it means working for a morally bankrupt man—if it gives her the funds needed to help her sister.
Farah Smith’s palms pricked with moisture as she followed the trim woman through a set of doors featuring brushed nickel pulls in the shape of the letter D, for Donovan.
After all she’d read about Keller Donovan on the internet and in magazines, it should come as no surprise he’d have door pulls fashioned out of his initials. It’d be more fitting if he had his name spelled out, in gold no less. The man’s reputation for taking what he wanted and doing things his way had become legend. Arrogant—one word that easily summed him up.
With determined, yet shaky hands, Farah wiped their dampness down her gray wool skirt then aligned the side seams with her outer thighs.
I hope you enjoyed these six. For more great snippets please go to SIX SENTENCE SUNDAY. Or join in the fun next week with six of your own.
